Mathura-Vrindavan
Mathura is situated in North-India, just a 3-4hours drive from NewDelhi (on the way to Agra/Taj Mahal). . It is the topmost well-known pilgrimage place of India due to the God Krishna used to live in his childhood in this area. Literally at every corner, there are little "Lila" - places/places of Krishna's games, adventures, pastimes & stories.
About the whole area, one can go by car/hired cab, or local busses and public transportation.
