According to Indian belief, the Supreme God manifests also as 33 million Gods who take care of water, earth, fire, all types of characters & energies, & they are said to be all present in a cow.
Another story is, that their Supreme God Krishna loves cows the most, & that they are manifested from His heart. Therefore, one of His names is also Gokul' ( go=cow, and kula=shelter in Sanskrit).
Krishna personally appeared 5125years ago in India, and the Old-Indian text books say, that he had 108 different types/brieds of cows, classified through different colors, seize, shape, horns, and head shape.
The cows in the spiritual world are also called Kama-dhenus, which is Sanskrit & that who will make all your wishes fulfilled.
