Any Mantra can be chosen on your own & recited every day. It is always good to get the right purpose, complete translation/ meaning of the Mantra, - and meditation techniques. There r innumerable mantras. It I s better to start with short ones to get used to this ancient spiritual/ enlighten technique!!

 

Mantras best to be recited 108 times daily, as per Hindu cult, this number is holy. If possible, get a Indian meditation gears with a 108 beats for it. 

1. Om Namo Narayanaya 

(8 Syllable Mantra) 

2. Om namo bhagavat Vasudevaya l

(12 Syllable Mantra) 

3. Om namo Shivaya

5-syllable Mantra ("5 and half" syllable! ) 

4. Longer Mantras

(u don't need to chant/recite so slow. U can do yr own speed..)

Usually a bhajan is accompanied by instruments, and can be sung single/group of people. Usually at temple/function gatherings they are sung. Sometimes, at huge programs, even by many thousand people.
